A processing centre operates by the co-operative Asociación de Productores Egológicos de Planadas (ASOPEP) specifically to produce tasty natural coffees in Tolima, Colombia.

ASOPEP recruits a high number of ex-guerrilla fighter who decided to come back to civilisation, distancing themselves from the Colombian conflict (1964–present). The co-operative invests in programs providing training and education on specialty coffee to these people, helping them adapt into a better future.

This single origin microlot represents the collective output of hundreds of small scale coffee producers in the region. The coffee has been carefully hand-picked coffee in order to use only the ripest cherries. Defects were removed by hand-sorting the harvest. It was then sundried on raised beds under temperature-controlled conditions until the ideal moisture content is achieved.

Supergiant® 4th Odyssey is designed to be consumed black, i.e. without the addition of milk.

Nitrogen Flushed
In combination with our carefully selected packaging material for the best air-tight seal, every single pack of coffee has been flushed with nitrogen to create an oxygen free environment for our coffee. This will keep the coffee fresh for longer.

Nitrogen is odorless, colorless, tasteless, non-irritating, and completely food-safe.

Readymade Filter
The filter (and its supporting structure) is made out of paper and is 100% compostable.

Printed Wrapper
The printed wrapper is fully recyclable soft plastic. For more information, search for your local soft plastic recycling program(s).

Vaccum Seal Bag
PA (Nylon) lends itself well to the plastic recycling process. It can be reprocessed numerous times, aiding the creation of circular economies and closed-loop supply chains.

As it is chemical and water resistant, easy to wash and long-lasting, we encourage reusing our bag prior to placing it into the recycling process.
